Elementary Academics

Our elementary will be split into three groups for the 2026-2027 school year:
Lower Elementary, Middle Elementary, and Upper Elementary

Lower Elementary

Our lower elementary includes kindergarten and first grade. This age bracket is flexible as it is based on academic and developmental level more than actual grade level. Some elementary students are a part of more than one class based on their current level of learning and understanding. The lower elementary classroom is set up with educational centers to allow for hands-on learning paired with book learning.

Subjects and curricula are as follows:
Bible: Not Consumed's Stepping Stones Series Bundle
Math: Math-U-See
Phonics: combination of BJUPress and Abeka
Reading: combination of BJUPress, Abeka, and other supplemental materials
Handwriting: The Good and the Beautiful (K-2 is print, 3-5 is cursive)
Typing and Basic Computer Skills: combination of sources and materials including education.com, Teachers Pay Teachers, etc.
History: BJUPress with hands-on activities and assessments
Science: BJUPress with hands-on activities and assessments
Recess/PE: Elementary students have a short snack and recess time in the mornings and a longer recess/PE time in the afternoons. They go outside as much as possible, but we do have indoor space they are able to use when the weather keeps them inside.

Middle Elementary

Our middle elementary includes second and third grades. As with the lower elementary, this age bracket is flexible as it is based on academic and developmental level more than actual grade level. Some elementary students are a part of more than one class based on their current level of learning and understanding. The middle elementary classroom is also set up with educational centers to allow for hands-on learning paired with book learning.
